When Liberty Wept   

Artist's Statement:

"As I struggled with the events of September 11, 2001, my mind continued to return to the image of The Statue of Liberty. A symbol of America's commitment to freedom, Lady Liberty had a clear view of the tragedy unfolding in New York City. And then another image came to me -- I envisioned Lady Liberty shedding a mournful tear. And in this teardrop, a reflection of the burning Twin Towers moments before they fell."
